A new kind of dome experience:
Domescapes is a growing collection of interactive software experiences designed specifically for fulldome and planetarium spaces. These aren’t passive shows — they’re calm, creative environments that evolve through audience participation.
Using simple tools like drawing, scanning, or motion-based input, visitors become part of the story, contributing to beautiful shared worlds that unfold in real time. Each Domescape is built around ambient soundscapes, visual storytelling, and social interaction.
In a Domescape we’re all encouraged to slow down, create, and connect.

Our past work
Below are some of the Domescapes we’ve crafted for festivals, public installations, and educational partners. These were one-off commissions but we’d love to build something like this with you.
Moths to a Flame
This award-winning experience, created with Real Ideas CIC for Plymouth’s Illuminate Festival, let kids design digital moths that fluttered through an immersive nighttime cityscape. Designed to spark conversations about light pollution, it drew large crowds, glowing reviews, and was featured on ITV News. A beautiful, atmospheric way to blend education and art.
Seeds for Plymouth
Commissioned by Pollenize CIC, this custom Domescape invited families to draw flowers, which bees then pollinated in a vibrant digital garden. Created to support pollinator awareness and urban ecology, it was featured by both BBC and ITV as part of the Seeds for Plymouth campaign.
Secret Gala Dinner
Commissioned by Trevi for their 25th anniversary, this exclusive Domescape set the stage for a black-tie fundraising event inside the dome. Blending elegant visuals with ambient atmosphere, the dome added a layer of immersive magic to the gala, which included a live auction in support of women’s services.
A Teaspoonful of Plankton
Commissioned by The Box in partnership with Plymouth City Council and Arts Council England, this wraparound-screen experience introduced families to the hidden world of plankton. Created in collaboration with science communicator Kate Crawford and artist Beth Munro, the piece combined film, narration, and public participation. Visitors were invited to draw their own plankton, guided by fascinating facts and imagery, and see them come to life in the projection, forming part of a living, educational story about evolution and ecology.
